Additionally, stablecoin companies have received crucial approvals. In November, the ADGM allowed regulated entities to issue Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, while Tether’s USDt was recognized this week as an accepted fiat-referenced token.

Circle, too, gained authorization to function as a financial service provider, facilitating the broader use of USDC in the region.

Tether and Binance Achieve Regulatory Approvals in ADGM

Galaxy’s entry illustrates the UAE's ambition to attract significant players, positioning itself as a global frontrunner in digital asset regulation and infrastructure.

According to reports, Tether’s USDT stablecoin has been granted regulatory acceptance as an approved fiat-referenced token across multiple blockchains within the ADGM.

Tether indicated that ADGM now allows licensed institutions in the financial free zone to conduct regulated operations involving USDT across various blockchains, including Aptos, Celo, Cosmos, Kaia, Near, Polkadot, Tezos, TON, and TRON.

These approvals build upon previous recognitions for USDT on Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche.

Moreover, Binance announced on Monday that it has secured full authorization to operate its main Binance.com platform under ADGM supervision, marking a significant milestone after years of regulatory scrutiny.

Binance will work through three separate legal entities in the area—a trading exchange, a clearing house, and a broker-dealer—mirroring a traditional financial market structure designed to facilitate regulated trading, custody, settlement, and off-exchange services.
