The frequency of bottom-calling tends to rise when significant psychological levels, such as Bitcoin falling below $100,000, are breached. The firm pointed out that Bitcoin's ratio of positive to negative comments is now at its lowest point in over a month, even as its "social dominance" surpassed 40%.

"As Bitcoin's price declined, its social dominance rose to over 40%, indicating it is the leading topic of a notably anxious discussion," the report stated.

Some market watchers associated this decline with comments from Strategy chairman Michael Saylor, noting that mentions of "Saylor" surged as prices dropped. However, during a segment on CNBC, Saylor refuted rumors concerning the company selling any of its Bitcoin holdings.

Santiment further noted that the recent $1.17 billion in Bitcoin ETF outflows observed over the last three trading days might ultimately point to a bullish reversal. "Significant ETF inflows have often marked local price peaks, while notable outflows have lined up with market bottoms, suggesting retail panic," the firm explained. Notably, Thursday alone saw $866 million in net outflows—a record-breaking figure.

This decline in market sentiment has driven the Crypto Fear & Greed Index down to an "Extreme Fear" level of 10, its lowest since February 27.
