Telegram’s Pavel Durov unveils decentralized AI network built on TON

Pavel Durov, the co-founder of the popular messaging platform Telegram, has announced a new decentralized AI network that will operate on The Open Network (TON), an independent layer-1 blockchain linked to Telegram.

At the Blockchain Life 2025 forum in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Durov introduced the Confidential Compute Open Network, or Cocoon. This initiative aims to provide users with AI-driven features while ensuring their data privacy is not compromised by centralized AI systems.
