Recent Decline in Bitcoin Price

Bitcoin has struggled to hold above the $85,000 threshold, beginning a downward spiral below the $83,200 and $82,500 resistance levels. This movement has allowed bearish pressure to push the price below $80,000, sinking to a low of $75,665, with further declines now on the horizon. A bearish trend line is shaping up, indicating resistance at $79,200 on the hourly BTC/USD chart.

The current trading price sits below $78,500 and the 100-hour simple moving average. If Bitcoin can stabilize above $75,000, it may try for a slight recovery. Immediate resistance lies near the $78,500 mark, while the first significant resistance is located around $79,200. This level also coincides with the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement of the drop from the swing high of $90,440 to the low of $75,665.

What Lies Ahead for BTC?

If Bitcoin cannot break above the $79,200 resistance area, it may initiate another downturn. Immediate support can be found near the $76,200 level, with stronger support around $75,500. Should losses continue, the price could approach $75,000, with the next level of support set at $72,000. The critical support level remains at $70,000, below which Bitcoin may struggle to make a recovery in the short term.
