Bitcoin's value has continued to drop, falling below the $73,500 mark. Currently, BTC is consolidating its losses but faces significant resistance around the $75,500 level.

Bitcoin Price on the Decline

Bitcoin struggled to hold steady above the $75,000 level, leading to further drops below $74,000 and $73,500. The price fell as low as $71,532 due to bearish sentiment. Presently, BTC is consolidating its losses, showing a negative trend below the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level from the recent downturn that began at the $76,866 swing high and dipped to the $71,532 low.

Currently trading below the $75,000 mark and the 100-hour simple moving average, Bitcoin needs to maintain its price above $72,000 to have a chance of initiating a rebound. The immediate resistance level appears near $72,850, with a significant resistance point at $74,200.

If Bitcoin manages to close above the $74,200 resistance, it could see further gains towards the $75,000 resistance or the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level from the recent decline.

Any sustained upward movement may push Bitcoin to the $75,500 level and intersect with the trend line. The next hurdles for bulls could be at $76,850 and $78,000.

Potential for Further BTC Decline

If Bitcoin cannot break past the $75,000 resistance, it risks entering another downtrend. The immediate support level stands at $72,000, with the first major support closer to $71,200. Additionally, support is now around the $70,500 area. Any further declines could lead the price to test the $70,000 support in the short term. The main support now lies at $68,000; if Bitcoin falls below this level, it may struggle to rebound effectively.
