Bitcoin Surpasses $73,000: Expert Insights on the Ongoing Rally

Bitcoin (BTC) has reclaimed the $73,000 mark for the first time since early February, signaling a noteworthy resurgence for the cryptocurrency. As optimism grows, some experts suggest that the upward trend could continue if the current conditions persist.

Market analyst Ali Martinez shared his prognosis in a recent post on X, suggesting that Bitcoin may be gearing up for what he terms a potential relief rally.

The Role of ETFs and On-Chain Support

From an on-chain analysis perspective, Martinez emphasized the impact of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which are actively soaking up supply. He noted that ETFs acquired approximately $776 million worth of BTC just last week.

This trend shows no signs of slowing down. Since the week began on March 2, ETF inflows have already exceeded $789 million, with the week still progressing. Such a robust accumulation indicates substantial institutional interest, which can bolster support during periods of price increases.

Additionally, Martinez referenced blockchain data revealing limited resistance just above the current trading price. Utilizing the URPD (UTXO Realized Price Distribution), he identified a significant resistance cluster that was previously around $70,685.

With Bitcoin now trading above the critical $72,000 zone, the concentration of supply between this range and $81,000 appears relatively low. At the time of this writing, BTC has seen a 7% increase, reaching $73,200 according to CoinGecko data.

In practical terms, this indicates that there are fewer historically established sell points within this range. If the buying pressure continues to grow, Martinez anticipates that Bitcoin's price could navigate this “low supply” area more freely.

Potential Rally Towards $84,000

According to Martinez, the next significant supply concentrations are around $83,307 and $84,569, which may pose stronger resistance if Bitcoin’s rally advances into that range.

He concluded that a confirmed breakout above the current price levels—backed by ongoing ETF inflows, reduced on-chain resistance, and an improving technical picture—could set the stage for further short-term price growth.
