Following the president’s veto of the government's bill, Poland retains its status as the sole EU member without steps towards implementation, as noted by Juan Ignacio Ibañez from the MiCA Crypto Alliance. He pointed out that not all EU countries follow the same regulatory path, with some, like Germany and France, creating specific laws while others, such as Spain and Luxembourg, adjust existing financial regulations.

Ibañez emphasized that delays in regulatory implementation do not necessarily reflect a country’s crypto-friendliness, noting that Hungary has adopted MiCA with additional regulations that may be less favorable for crypto service providers than those in Poland.
