Digital Asset ETPs Experience Third Consecutive Week of Net Inflows, Driven by U.S. Demand

Digital asset ETPs post third straight week of net inflows, led by US demand

Bitcoin and Ether Lead the Pack in Inflows

Bitcoin investment products were the biggest contributors, with around $522 million in weekly inflows. Meanwhile, short-Bitcoin products experienced approximately $1.8 million in net outflows, indicating an improvement in market sentiment.

Ether also performed well, registering approximately $338 million in inflows. This brings its total YTD inflows to about $13.3 billion, reflecting an impressive 148% increase compared to 2024.

Following Bitcoin and Ether, Solana investment products saw about $65 million in weekly inflows, raising their YTD total to nearly $3.46 billion, a tenfold increase from the previous year. XRP products also drew in new investments, with around $46.9 million added during the week and approximately $3.18 billion accumulated YTD.

Smaller-cap products had mixed results. Aave-linked products posted about $5.9 million in weekly inflows, while Chainlink saw roughly $4.1 million. Conversely, Hyperliquid products experienced net outflows of around $14.1 million during this period.

This marks the third week in a row of inflows for crypto ETPs, following inflows of approximately $716 million the previous week and about $1 billion the week before. Bitcoin has attracted around $27.7 billion YTD, though this remains below the $41 billion it garnered in 2024.

Overview of Assets Under Management and ETP Flows

In terms of assets under management, Bitcoin investment products total about $141.8 billion, while Ether-linked products represent roughly $26 billion. On the other hand, multi-asset crypto ETPs recorded approximately $104.9 million in weekly outflows, worsening their YTD net redemptions to around $69.5 million, despite holding about $6.8 billion in assets under management.

Funds invested in publicly traded blockchain-related companies saw varied investor interest over the week. VanEck’s Digital Transformation fund saw the largest weekly inflow at approximately $45.8 million, followed by VanEck Crypto and Blockchain with about $20.5 million, and Schwab’s Crypto Thematic ETF at around $7.2 million.

In contrast, Invesco CoinShares’ Global Blockchain and Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETPs recorded slight net outflows during the week.
