Dogecoin, known as the largest memecoin by market cap, has been trading within the range of $0.119 to $0.151 over the past month, peaking at $0.156 during a rally in early January.

Recently, Dogecoin tested its lower price limits, successfully holding the crucial support level between $0.119 and $0.120 before bouncing back 5%. Currently, it is working towards regaining the $0.1250 mark to sustain its recovery.

Some market analysts believe that Dogecoin is nearing the conclusion of its macro consolidation phase. The analyst known as Bitcoinsensus pointed out that Dogecoin has followed a similar upward trajectory in earlier cycles. Historical patterns reveal that after experiencing a price pullback from recent highs, the cryptocurrency often enters a lengthy consolidation, which is then frequently followed by a "parabolic surge to new highs, contingent on market conditions."

The analysis further underlines that previous breakouts from Dogecoin’s long-term accumulation zones have resulted in remarkable increases of 60x and 215x. This trend suggests a potentially significant rally may be on the horizon if history repeats itself.

Trader Tardigrade has also observed that Dogecoin’s weekly performance patterns correspond closely with its breakout in Q4 2024, which saw the coin reaching a multi-year peak of $0.484. He remarked on X that “the structure, duration, and magnitude of the current and previous pullbacks are strikingly similar,” noting a nearly 60% drop from local highs over a span of 19 weeks. Based on this, he speculated that Dogecoin might have completed its total pullback and could soon make its way towards the next high.

Potential for a 50% Drop in DOGE Price

While there are optimistic projections, market observer TradingShot has indicated that DOGE may be in the midst of a new bear market, facing up to a 50% to 70% price correction if bearish market conditions persist.

According to their analysis, Dogecoin is currently supported only by its 350-day Moving Average (MA), a level that has remained intact since the October 2025 market downturn. They emphasized the importance of the 1W MA350, stating it has previously served as a vital support during past bear cycles.

If this support level fails, TradingShot warns that Dogecoin could enter a second phase of its bear cycle, aiming for price levels between $0.060 and $0.035:

"This could either bottom out at the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement level of Doge’s historical Fib Channel Up around $0.0600 or extend to a drastic -93.00% decline to approximately $0.03500, similar to prior corrections."
