According to data from Binance, Ethereum dipped below $2,800 early Thursday, bouncing back briefly before touching a one-month low of $2,773. Bitcoin (BTC), the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, similarly fell 6.2% to reach a two-month low of $83,934.

CoinGlass data reveals that crypto liquidations surged to almost $1 billion in the last 24 hours, with approximately $917.17 million in leveraged positions forcibly closed at the time of reporting. During this period, 223,915 traders faced liquidation, with the largest single order recorded on Hyperliquid at a value of $31.64 million.

Importantly, more than half of the liquidations happened within a four-hour span, resulting in over $620 million wiped out since the morning. Bitcoin positions accounted for approximately $422 million, while Ethereum positions contributed about $160 million.
