According to analysts at Bull Theory, several factors are contributing to this resurgence in Ethereum's value. A key element is the growing institutional interest in the cryptocurrency. Notably, BitMine, the largest public holder of Ethereum, has been instrumental in this recovery.

In a recent update on X (formerly Twitter), analysts indicated a steady increase in demand for Ethereum as financial institutions on Wall Street begin to leverage the platform.

Major financial players are starting to make significant moves into the Ethereum market. For example, BlackRock, which manages assets worth $13.5 trillion, is launching tokenized funds and has filed to create a staked Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF). Other big names such as JPMorgan, managing $4 trillion in assets, Deutsche Bank with $1.1 trillion, and Standard Chartered with $800 billion, are also investing in tokenization and decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure on Ethereum and its Layer 2 (L2) solutions.

Furthermore, well-known financial institutions like Amundi, HSBC, BNY Mellon, Coinbase, Kraken, and Robinhood are integrating Ethereum into their operations for purposes like custody, settlement, and rollup infrastructure. This trend has led these organizations to hold and stake Ethereum to earn yields, further heightening demand. For instance, BitMine expects to generate more than $400 million annually from its staking activities.

Adding to the excitement, Arkham recently reported that Tom Lee's Ethereum treasury firm acquired 138,452 ETH last week, worth approximately $431.97 million. Currently, BitMine holds about $12.05 billion worth of Ethereum and has set aside an additional $1 billion for future investments.

In another positive development, Chris MacDonald, an analyst with The Motley Fool, noted that the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has authorized U.S. banks to conduct “riskless principal” transactions in crypto assets.
