In a recent report projecting for 2026, Galaxy Digital focused on 26 key sectors and highlighted that net inflows for US spot crypto ETFs are expected to exceed $50 billion. This forecast follows a successful 2025, which produced net inflows of $23 billion. The firm believes that the continued rise of institutional adoption will lead to even more substantial investments in 2026. Changes, such as wirehouses lifting restrictions on advisor suggestions and investment firms like Vanguard launching crypto funds, are expected to facilitate this growth. The inflows for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs are anticipated to surpass the levels seen in 2025.

Beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, Galaxy Digital anticipates an influx of new crypto ETFs, particularly those focusing on spot altcoin products.

Over 100 New Crypto ETFs Expected

Galaxy Digital projects that more than 50 spot altcoin ETFs will be launched in the United States. Additionally, around 50 more crypto ETFs not centered on single cryptocurrencies will debut. The recent approval of generic listing standards by the US Securities and Exchange Commission is expected to accelerate the launch of spot altcoin ETFs in 2026.

In 2025 alone, over 15 spot crypto ETFs were introduced for various altcoins, including Solana (SOL), XRP, Hedera (HBAR), Dogecoin (DOE), Litecoin (LTC), and Chainlink (LINK). The firm also predicts that major assets that haven't yet filed for spot ETFs will soon enter the market, alongside the introduction of multi-asset and leveraged crypto ETFs.

Moreover, Galaxy Digital forecasts that more than 15 cryptocurrency-related companies will seek initial public offerings (IPOs) or uplist in the US. Over the last year, 10 crypto firms, including Galaxy, have gone public or uplisted successfully. The firm highlights that since 2018, more than 290 crypto and blockchain companies have secured significant private financing, positioning themselves for US listings as regulatory conditions improve.

Among the companies speculated to be potential candidates for IPOs or uplisting in 2026 include CoinShares, BitGo (which has already submitted an application), Chainalysis, and FalconX.
