In a statement released on Wednesday, Galaxy disclosed that it would form an entity registered under the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), which serves as the region's international financial hub. According to Mike Novogratz, the founder and CEO of Galaxy, this step is aligned with the company's strategy to broaden its partnerships and operations in the area.

Bouchra Darwazah, managing director at Galaxy, emphasized the importance of the Middle East, stating, “The region is rapidly emerging as a significant financial center and houses some of the most sophisticated investors and innovators. This announcement comes on the heels of Galaxy reporting a net income of $505 million in the third quarter of 2025, along with $3.2 billion in equity. Since 2018, the company has made significant strides in the crypto investment landscape, including plans to participate in a $1.65 billion treasury fund for Solana, alongside partners like Cantor Fitzgerald, Multicoin Capital, and Jump Crypto.

UAE Welcomes More Crypto Companies Eyeing the Middle East

In recent months, multiple cryptocurrency companies have received regulatory approval to operate within key Middle Eastern markets, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Notable exchanges such as Binance and Bybit have been among those to gain regulatory clearance.

In addition, several stablecoin issuers have achieved similar successes. In November, the ADGM approved regulated firms to utilize Ripple’s stablecoin, Ripple USD. Just this week, the financial center recognized Tether’s USDt as an “accepted fiat-referenced token” and granted regulatory approval for Circle to function as a financial service provider, thereby supporting its USDC stablecoin.
