For the past eight years, XRP has traded between the $3.30 horizontal resistance and the ascending trendline, marking the bottom and peak of each rally throughout its previous two cycles. The analyst believes that the altcoin could continue along this pattern until the next bull run, with the potential to rally 1,350% to reach the $48 target once it breaks through this multi-year resistance.

Similarly, market observer Chard Nerd shared XRP's macro chart but flagged an important potential retest of a resistance-turned-support level. He pointed out that the cryptocurrency broke free from a multi-year symmetrical triangle pattern when it surpassed its eight-year resistance during the Q4 2024 market rally.

According to Chard Nerd, XRP might soon test the pattern's neckline, which is currently positioned around the $0.70-$0.80 range, as support before starting its recovery from recent bear market lows.

In a Friday video analysis, Chart Nerd discussed a short-term outlook for XRP, emphasizing its efforts to break out of a one-month symmetrical triangle on the daily timeframe following today's price surge.

He explained that the altcoin's price has been trapped between a major resistance level and a rising support level over the last five weeks. This situation could lead to a potential 25% rally in the coming weeks as it approaches the apex of this pattern.

The apex has a specific date coming up. We’re looking toward the end of March, around the 25th, where XRP might, if it rejects the $1.42-$1.43 range, become tightly compressed before making a decisive move.

The analyst noted that the upper boundary of this pattern has acted as a significant resistance throughout February, suggesting that XRP’s price could be squeezed “into this apex toward the end of March” before selecting its next direction.
