In a recent post, Strategy's chairman Michael Saylor shared insights on the timing of Bitcoin price changes following significant institutional investments, advising investors to adopt a patient approach.

In a post shared on X, Michael Saylor elaborated that significant market reactions to large Bitcoin purchases usually happen after a delay, not immediately. He noted that price momentum tends to build up over time following substantial acquisitions.

This message was interpreted by many as a reminder that short-term price fluctuations do not always correspond with real market demand. Numerous supporters within the cryptocurrency community viewed his comments as a reinforcement of the well-known “HODL” strategy, encouraging long-term holding.

Strategy Continues Its Bitcoin Accumulation

Saylor’s comments coincided with an announcement from Strategy regarding another significant Bitcoin purchase. The company disclosed that it had acquired 17,994 BTC in the previous week for approximately $1.28 billion, with an average price of $70,946 per coin.

This recent transaction marked Strategy’s 102nd Bitcoin acquisition and its 11th consecutive week of accumulating more Bitcoin.

As of the time of this article's writing, Bitcoin was trading at around $71,970. Despite this latest purchase, Strategy is currently experiencing approximately $3.35 billion in unrealized losses on its Bitcoin reserves.

Nonetheless, the company’s financial outlook remains significantly connected to the value of Bitcoin. With a market capitalization near $47 billion, its Bitcoin assets are estimated to be worth $52.65 billion, indicating that the company's stock is trading below the overall value of its digital asset treasury.

Saylor Advocates for Long-Term Bitcoin Strategy

In spite of the volatility, Saylor has consistently defended Strategy’s approach centered around Bitcoin. In a past interview with Fox Business, he discussed the company's strategy for managing market ups and downs over the long term. He expressed confidence that if Bitcoin appreciates by at least 1.25% annually, the company will be able to maintain its dividends, highlighting that even slight growth could enhance shareholder value.

Saylor also considered the possibility of a lengthy period of stagnant prices. In that scenario, he asserted that Strategy would still have about 80 years to modify its strategy and capital framework.

Looking into the future, Saylor remains optimistic, predicting that Bitcoin might experience annual growth of approximately 30% over the coming two decades, reiterating his positive outlook on the cryptocurrency.

Analysts Identify Strong Demand Signals

On another note, a cryptocurrency analyst known as Ted has noticed an increase in the Coinbase Premium, a key indicator that often points to a healthy demand from traders on the Coinbase platform.

The analyst indicated that if Bitcoin can maintain support above $70,000, the next target could be around $76,000. Notably, this level is close to the average purchase price at which Strategy has amassed its entire Bitcoin holdings, making it a psychologically important point for both the company and the wider market.
