Regulatory landscapes are evolving as well. Polymarket, previously limited in its ability to serve the U.S. market after a CFTC ruling in 2022, has re-entered the fray by acquiring a platform with a Designated Contract Market license, facilitating compliant access for U.S. users.

As competition intensifies, reports indicate that Gemini plans to launch prediction market contracts, pending regulatory approval, and is eager to act as soon as it receives clearance. This would position Gemini alongside Kalshi and Polymarket within this rapidly expanding niche.
