The Oasis Protocol Foundation, which oversees the Oasis Layer 1 blockchain, has initiated a new investment branch aimed at enhancing scalable infrastructure for real-world assets (RWA). According to an official statement provided exclusively to Cryptonews, the foundation has made its inaugural strategic investment in credit infrastructure developer SemiLiquid.

This investment initiative is designed to support teams focused on developing innovative products that prioritize privacy and computational intensity. It will specifically look to back ventures with proven market frameworks and efficient business models that can scale effectively.

Mark Kalin, the Director of Operations at the Oasis Protocol Foundation, will lead this new investment effort.

The platform utilizes Liquefaction—a groundbreaking protocol developed by Cornell Tech built on Sapphire—to manage trade execution, policy enforcement, and monitoring breaches while keeping sensitive data secure.

This allows for the protection of private financial information throughout the entire credit lifecycle, while still allowing for on-chain verification.
