The funding round included a substantial $25 million commitment from Nimbus Capital, a digital asset investment firm, along with contributions from Magnus Capital and Frekaz Group, as reported by Cointelegraph.

Real Finance plans to use these funds to enhance its compliance and operational infrastructure while working towards developing a comprehensive RWA platform. In the short term, the firm is targeting the tokenization of $500 million in RWAs, indicating that this goal would account for about 2% of the current market for tokenized assets.

The current tokenization market is largely characterized by US Treasury instruments, private credit, and various institutional alternative funds. However, it is also witnessing increasing momentum within tokenized public equities and other asset types.

Prominent institutions like Goldman Sachs and BNY Mellon are making strides in the tokenized money market fund arena, contributing to the growth of one of the most dynamic sectors within RWAs.

Tokenized RWA Market Set for Significant Growth, Experts Predict

With 2025 being a pivotal year for tokenized RWAs due to increased institutional engagement, experts suggest the upcoming year could witness even more robust growth. Chris Yin, the co-founder and CEO of Plume, a blockchain focused on RWAs, shared his optimism, stating, “Currently, we are tracking to over 10x the RWA holders number since the start of the year.” He believes that “we think it’s not crazy to imagine another banner year with 25x+ in user growth numbers.”

In addition to US government debt, Yin noted that interest is surging in nontraditional asset categories, including private credit, mineral rights, energy assets, and GPUs.
