Five prominent regional banks in the U.S. have initiated a significant challenge to the private stablecoin market. Today, they introduced the Cari Network, a blockchain-based payment system utilizing ZKsync technology that facilitates immediate settlement of tokenized deposits while keeping these funds within the secure framework of insured banks. This effort represents a crucial bid by traditional finance to regain the settlement layer from dominant non-bank stablecoin issuers like Tether and Circle.
