According to a recent report by Coindesk, the Lithuania-licensed crypto payments app Brighty has successfully completed over 100 property deals, allowing wealthy clients to sidestep traditional banking methods in favor of quicker, more efficient transactions.

This growing trend reflects increased confidence in cryptocurrencies as a viable option for significant investments, especially as conventional banks remain reluctant to handle such transactions.

Brighty’s platform caters to between 100 and 150 wealthy clients, each with an average monthly spending of approximately $50,000. Residential real estate purchases are particularly prominent among these transactions, which extend to popular European locations such as Cyprus and Andorra.

Transition to Euro Stablecoins for European Transactions

Nikolay Denisenko, co-founder and CTO of Brighty App, highlighted the benefits of using cryptocurrency for transactions compared to traditional payment systems like SWIFT—the global interbank payment system used by over 11,000 banks.

By converting stablecoins like USDC into euros, buyers and sellers can bypass the delays and complexities that often accompany standard wire transfers, resulting in a more straightforward process.

This shift in preference for stablecoins among affluent clients has been noteworthy.

While Circle’s USDC used to be the go-to choice for large transfers, there has been a measurable increase in the usage of euro-pegged stablecoins, which help buyers avoid conversion fees when acquiring European properties.

Brighty has noticed a significant rise in the average transaction amounts for euro-backed deals, climbing from €15,785 in Q3 to €59,894 in Q4, as high-net-worth individuals opted for Circle’s EURC stablecoin instead of USDC.

Denisenko commented, “Recently, we have started to see our customers using euro stablecoins where they previously might have utilized USDC.” He added, “Using EURC makes it more convenient by eliminating any exchange rate issues when purchasing in Europe.”

Moving forward, Brighty is actively engaging with real estate agencies to educate them about the transparency and legitimacy of crypto holdings as a method of payment.

The Real Estate Sector Embraces Cryptocurrency Amid Banking Cautiousness

The rising interest in crypto-based real estate transactions has surged as traditional banks continue to shy away from these types of dealings, creating openings for niche platforms like Brighty.

Denisenko mentioned that Brighty is partnering with estate agencies to help them recognize the potential of accepting legitimate crypto assets as payment.

“Our high-net-worth clients are keen to diversify their portfolios by investing in real estate,” he explained.

In addition to Brighty, luxury real estate broker Christie’s International Real Estate established a dedicated cryptocurrency division in July 2025 after completing notable transactions, including a $65 million property deal in Beverly Hills using Bitcoin.

CEO Aaron Kirman expressed confidence in the longevity of crypto, stating that the new division would enable transactions “without banks or fiat.”

On an international scale, RAK Properties in the UAE has teamed up with fintech company Hubpay to facilitate property purchases using Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether, thus broadening access for digital asset investors.

Additionally, Dubai's government-backed initiative aims to tokenize $16 billion worth of real estate by 2033, which would comprise around 7% of expected transactions in the region.

London's luxury rental market has also adopted cryptocurrency payments, evidenced by Knightsbridge Prime Property completing a £45,000 per week rental payment in Bitcoin through the crypto payments platform Bitcashier in March 2024.

Opendoor Technologies in San Francisco announced plans to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for home purchases by October 2025, as confirmed by CEO Kaz Nejatian.
