Interactive Brokers has launched a 24/7 funding service that enables clients to deposit using USDC, with Ripple USD and PayPal USD set to be available shortly. The firm has teamed up with Zerohash to facilitate round-the-clock deposits using USDC across various blockchain networks. Once these stablecoins arrive, they are instantly converted into U.S. dollars and deposited into client accounts. This innovation effectively eliminates the delays and cut-off times associated with traditional fiat wire transfers.

The introduction of USDC funding for retail accounts dates back to December, and Interactive Brokers has even considered creating its own stablecoin. According to the company, stablecoin funding resolves prevalent issues for investors, especially those engaging in international transactions.

Traditional wire transfers can take several days to complete and often incur hefty fees. By contrast, stablecoins provide nearly instantaneous transfers at a lower cost and without the limitations of banking hours.
