Revolut and Trust Wallet have announced an exciting integration that enables users in the European Economic Area (EEA) to buy cryptocurrencies instantly and send them directly to their self-custody wallets, with some zero-fee options available under the new MiCA regulations.

Revolut Continues to Expand Its Crypto Services

The collaboration merges Revolut’s efficient payment system with Trust Wallet’s non-custodial structure, creating an easy entry point into the world of digital assets. According to their announcement, Trust Wallet users can purchase cryptocurrencies using various Revolut payment options, such as Revolut Pay, credit or debit card payments, and bank transfers directly from the Trust Wallet application. When purchases are made through this integration, the cryptocurrency is delivered immediately to the user's self-custody Trust Wallet instead of being held temporarily in a custodial wallet.

While the integration provides zero-fee options in certain instances, users should be aware that standard blockchain gas fees will still apply. The overall costs might differ based on the user’s Revolut plan and the payment method selected.

Initially, the partnership supports purchasing major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USD Coin, and Tether. The companies anticipate adding more cryptocurrencies to the platform as the integration evolves.

This partnership follows Revolut’s successful acquisition of a MiCA license. This license enables Revolut to offer crypto services throughout the entire EEA in accordance with the unified regulatory framework established by the European Union. The collaboration links Revolut's payment infrastructure to Trust Wallet’s non-custodial platform, allowing Trust Wallet to provide a compliant fiat-to-crypto gateway tailored to European regulations.
