A press release from Monday reveals that World Liberty Financial, which is a DeFi venture with ties to Trump, is pushing for a capital raise of $1.5 billion for ALT5 Sigma. This will involve a private placement of 7.5% of the entire $WLFI token supply. The announcement comes shortly after reports indicated that World Liberty was strategizing for a $1.5 billion fundraising initiative aimed at launching a public company that holds its native tokens.

Strategic Implications for ALT5 Sigma

Through this investment, ALT5 Sigma will obtain ownership of that portion of $WLFI tokens upon the deal's completion, which will enhance its overall stake in these assets. Moreover, this initial contribution is part of a larger vision where ALT5 Sigma aims to play an important role in the future utilization of WLFI tokens.

The proceeds from this offering will support the establishment of a dedicated crypto treasury for WLFI tokens, a significant step that will position ALT5 Sigma as the first entity to adopt WLFI as a reserve asset.

Alt5 Sigma’s co-founder, Zak Folkman, noted in June that there has been increasing interest from various public companies wanting to include WLFI in their treasury holdings.

“There has been a lot of interest from several public vehicles who want to use WLFI to be held in their treasuries,” he mentioned earlier.

ALT5 Sigma’s strategy will add WLFI to a growing roster of crypto assets that are included in corporate treasury frameworks, which currently includes leading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
