Coinbase’s Layer-2 network, Base, has officially connected with the Solana ecosystem, facilitating fluid transfers of SOL and other Solana assets across different blockchain networks. Initial Implementations of the Bridge

Several well-known decentralized applications (dApps), such as Zora, AerodromeFi, Virtuals, Flaunch, and RelayProtocol, have quickly adopted the new features, making them available for users immediately.

Thanks to this integration, Base now facilitates native trading and utility for a diverse array of Solana assets, including SOL and various memecoins like CHILLHOUSE and TRENCHER. This development merges liquidity across both ecosystems, allowing creators to work directly with Solana tokens, while giving communities access to liquidity that was previously fragmented between Solana and EVM chains.

Designed to be a collaborative bridge rather than an isolated network, Base has also made the Base–Solana bridge open-source on GitHub, thus inviting teams to incorporate cross-chain support.
