Key Weekly Price Range for Bitcoin

Recently, Bitcoin achieved a short-term recovery, rising from a seven-month low of $80,600 to around $93,000. This movement saw it re-testing a significant weekly re-accumulation range that lies between these two price points. However, a price correction on Sunday pushed Bitcoin back towards the lower end of this range, leading to growing concerns about its short-term outlook.

Analyst Rekt Capital pointed out that Bitcoin is managing to stabilize within its weekly range by maintaining its position above the $82,000 range low. This area is significant as it represents the top of a liquidity cluster formed around the 50-Week EMA, where the price has encountered three downward wicks over the past month.

“Last week’s close above the Range Low allowed for a relief move toward $93,500,” Rekt Capital stated, “but that price point turned into clear resistance” after a rejection on Friday. For the analyst, essential to Bitcoin’s stability is the need to hold around the weekly range lows, as additional downside might be likely.

However, Rekt Capital noted that as long as Bitcoin remains above the range low on a weekly basis, the consolidation structure stays intact. He added that Bitcoin is still trading below a sharply declining Macro Downtrend line, which has been a consistent resistance throughout this cycle.

According to the analysis: “Breaking out soon will require reclaiming higher price levels, while delaying that attempt will put the trendline at lower valuations, indirectly decreasing the gap between the current price and resistance.”

In any case, the Macro Downtrend continues to be a significant structural obstacle, and Bitcoin's future direction relies on whether it can consolidate near the Weekly Range Low to approach a serious test of this descending trendline.

Bitcoin's Technical Landscape Raises Concerns

Rekt Capital also noted that Bitcoin remains below both the 21-Week EMA and 50-Week EMA, which presents potential challenges for its future price movement as the gap between these moving averages continues to tighten.

He explained that when these EMAs converge and ultimately cross, it can often lead to an increase in downward momentum. While it can take weeks for the effects of this crossover to be fully felt, the likelihood of undergoing a bearish phase appears to be rising.

The two EMAs currently act as resistance thresholds for any future price recovery, especially with the 50-Week EMA potentially offering a future rejection if Bitcoin were to approach it again.

This situation, according to the analyst, places Bitcoin in a “vulnerable technical environment” as the convergence of the EMAs creates a complex resistance zone that could be challenging to surpass without the cryptocurrency first turning one of these moving averages into a support level.

Until Bitcoin can truly secure one of the EMAs as support, it resembles early-stage clustering patterns seen in past cycles where EMAs became compressed before a broader downtrend ensued, the analyst concluded.
