This latest investment continues a rapid staking initiative that began late last December. Bitmine first engaged in Ethereum staking on December 27 with an initial stake of 74,880 ETH. Since then, it has steadily increased its deposits, including adding 82,560 ETH in early January and a significantly larger stake of 186,336 ETH on January 6. With this new addition, nearly 20% of Bitmine's ETH holdings are now actively staked. Currently, Ethereum staking offers an approximate yield of 2.8%, which could lead to annual returns reaching tens of millions of dollars if Bitmine continues on this trajectory.

Bitmine now possesses over 4.07 million ETH, valued at around $12.8 billion, representing about 3.4% of Ethereum’s total supply. In the cryptocurrency market, 68 ETH reserve companies collectively hold about 6.81 million ETH, worth an estimated $21.4 billion, or roughly 5.6% of the total ETH supply.
