Bitmine, chaired by Tom Lee of Fundstrat, has recently moved an impressive amount of Ethereum into staking contracts, significantly boosting its staked value. This strategic move marks its position as a dominant player in the Ethereum market.

On the latest blockchain data sourced from Arkham Intelligence, Bitmine has staked an additional 209,504 ETH, which is now valued at around $610 million. This brings the company's total staked ETH to an astonishing 2,218,771 ETH, roughly valued at $6.52 billion. This figure indicates that over 52% of Bitmine’s total Ethereum holdings are now staked.

Bitmine utilizes a specialized institutional solo staking model, leveraging its unique infrastructure, MAVAN (Made in America Validator Network). By locking up every 32 ETH, Bitmine activates a corresponding unique validator software instance on the Ethereum network. Currently, with over 2.2 million ETH staked, Bitmine is running close to 70,000 individual validators.

This substantial stake of $6.52 billion is anticipated to yield an annual recurring revenue between $190 million and $200 million. Lee previously mentioned that Bitmine plans to transform ETH into a more productive asset through this initiative.

According to information from CoinGecko, Bitmine currently owns 4,243,338 ETH, translating to an estimated value of about $12.4 billion. This places Bitmine significantly ahead, holding nearly five times more Ethereum than the second-largest holder, SharpLink. Owning such a large percentage—about 3.5%—of a major asset class is remarkably unusual for a single corporation in the realm of traditional equities.
