This week, Bitmine has reached an important milestone by surpassing 4 million tokens in Ether after finalizing a $40 million purchase. On Monday, the company announced its total holdings now exceed 4.06 million ETH. According to Lookonchain, this latest acquisition includes 13,412 ETH, equivalent to about $40.61 million.

In just one week, Bitmine has added nearly 100,000 ETH to its vault, stating that all tokens were acquired at an average price of $2,991 each. Chairman Tom Lee commented, “Bitmine continues to steadily grow its ETH holdings, adding 98,852 ETH in the past week. Now our holdings have crossed the vital threshold of 4 million ETH tokens. This is a remarkable achievement after only 5.5 months.”

As ETH prices rose back to approximately $3,000 over the weekend, Bitmine's Ether assets returned to profitability after facing losses since the market downturn in October. The company aspires to hold 5% of all Ethereum in circulation, showing strong faith in the cryptocurrency and its ecosystem on multiple occasions.

Bitmine's current Ether holdings are valued at around $12.2 billion, making them 67% of the way toward their goal, according to data from Strategic ETH Reserve. Lee remarked, “We are making swift progress toward the 'alchemy of 5%' and are already witnessing the synergy derived from our significant ETH holdings.”

Additionally, Bitmine (BMNR) shares have skyrocketed 606% over the past six months, with the Ether investment launched in June providing a significant advantage to the firm. Looking ahead, Bitmine has plans to implement staking as part of its Ether strategy in early 2026, aiming to create additional value for investors.

Lee elaborated on the company's future plans, stating, "We are making headway on our staking initiative known as The Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN). This will offer a 'best-in-class' solution providing secure staking infrastructure, set to be deployed in early 2026."
